La historia nos lleva al pueblo ficticio de Seize, modelado en base a Cuenca y la fortaleza de Alarcón en España. Una larga guerra ha llevado al mundo a deteriorarse gradualmente, las personas desaparecen de las ciudades así como también los peces en el mar. Aun en este mundo solitario, las 5 protagonistas: Kanata, Phylicia, Noel, Rio y Kureha; viven como chicas normales aunque se unen a la milicia para defender la fortaleza, cada una por sus propias motivaciones.
